Terms of Purchase - Professional Development Products

Thank you for your interest in fi360's products.  The product(s) you are about to purchase is/are subject to the following terms of purchase.

Training Products

AIF® Training: The AIF® Training is available in two formats: AIF® Self-Paced Online (“Online”) and AIF® Capstone (“Capstone”). Each product includes access to identical online educational content. Upon purchase, ninety (90) days of access to the online content is provided with the Online format, while one hundred eighty (180) days is provided with the Capstone format. The Capstone format includes an additional 6-8 hours of instructor-led learning.

Upon expiration of access to the online content, a participant may purchase a 90 day extension for a fee of $150. Access to the online content is granted for ninety (90) days with each extension. An extension(s) may be purchased for up to three years from the original date of purchase of the AIF® Training. Beyond three years, continued access to the online content requires full payment.

In the event of cancellation by the participant, a refund is available within seventy two (72) hours of purchase provided the online content has not been accessed, and the request is made at least twenty one (21) days prior to the instructor-led seminar (if applicable).

Transfer requests – either to a new instructor-led seminar date or different training format – are subject to a transfer fee of $175, and must be made at least two (2) weeks prior to a scheduled instructor-led seminar (if applicable). Only one transfer is permitted, and a participant may not transfer to an instructor-led seminar scheduled more than ninety (90) days in the future. Transfer from the Online to the Capstone format is subject to an additional fee (equal to the price difference between formats). A refund is not granted for transfer from the Capstone to Online format.

AIFA® Training: In order to be eligible to attend the AIFA® Training, an active AIF® designation is required.  Upon purchase of the AIFA® Training, a participant is provided with access to required pre-reading materials only. The course content itself is delivered during a three day, instructor-led seminar.

In the event of cancellation by the participant, a full refund is available provided the request is made at least twenty one (21) days prior to the instructor-led seminar.

Requests to transfer to a different instructor-led seminar date are subject to a transfer fee of $175, and must be made at least two (2) weeks prior to the seminar date in which the participant is currently enrolled. Only one transfer is permitted.

PPC® Training: The PPC® Training is available in two formats: PPC®Self-Paced Online (“Online”) and PPC® Classroom (“Classroom”). Upon purchase, ninety (90) days of access to the online content is provided with the Online format. Classroom training consists entirely of an instructor-led seminar (no online component).

Upon expiration of access to the online content, a participant may purchase a 90 day extension for a fee of $150. Access to the online content is granted for ninety (90) days with each extension. An extension(s) may be purchased for up to three years from the original date of purchase of the PPC® Training. Beyond three years, continued access to the online content requires full payment.

Fiduciary Essentials® for Defined Contribution Plans: Upon purchase, ninety (90) days of access is provided.  No extensions are available.

A refund is available within seventy two (72) hours of purchase provided the course has not been accessed.

CE Short Courses: Upon purchase, two (2) days of access is provided.  Each course contains approximately one (1) hour of content.  Upon expiration, a participant may repurchase the course for an additional two (2) days of access.  Any progress previously made will not carry over upon repurchase.

 

 

Examination Products

AIF® Examination: Upon purchase, the AIF® Examination (“AIF® exam”) must be attempted within one (1) year. Each version of the examination is distinct from the version previously provided.

Following the first unsuccessful attempt of the AIF® exam, there is a mandatory waiting period of fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of the first attempt.  Following a second unsuccessful attempt, there is a mandatory waiting period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of the second attempt.  Following a third unsuccessful attempt, there is mandatory waiting period of one (1) year from the date of the third attempt.

All terms associated with the AIF® Examination apply for each subsequent attempt.

AIFA® Examination: The AIFA® Examination (“AIFA® exam”) is conducted on-site during the Classroom training event. In the event of an unsuccessful attempt of the AIFA® exam, a retake may be permitted through special arrangement.

PPC® Examination: Upon purchase, the PPC® Examination must be attempted within one (1) year.

AIF® Application/Dues: Submission of the AIF® Application and dues (“AIF® Application”) is required to attain and retain the AIF® designation. Successful completion of the AIF® Training and AIF® Examination is required prior to submission of the AIF® Application. 

fi360 randomly audits 5% of new and renewing designation applications. Upon submission, an audit may be conducted to ensure compliance with, and maintain the integrity of, the AIF® designation-granting process. Individuals who are selected for a random audit will be notified as such, and will have ten (10) business days from the date of the request to respond with any requested documentation.

Another type of audit is one by an affirmative response to a question within the Conduct Standards Questionnaire. If an applicant submits a violation of the Conduct Standards, the audit is subject to the Qualification and Complaint Procedure and could take up to 30 calendar days to complete.  

The AIF® Application must be submitted within one (1) year of successful completion of the AIF® exam. After one year, candidacy is terminated, and previously-completed AIF® Training and/or AIF® exam will be nullified.

The AIF® Dues are non-refundable.

The AIF® Reinstatement Fee is distinct from the AIF® Dues, and must be paid prior to completing the remaining requirements for reinstatement.

The AIF® Reinstatement Fee is non-refundable.

AIFA® Reinstatement Fee: Following failure to renew the AIFA® designation, payment of the AIFA® Reinstatement Fee is required to initiate the reinstatement process. The AIFA® Reinstatement Fee is distinct from the AIFA® Dues, and must be paid prior to completing the remaining requirements for reinstatement.

The AIFA® Reinstatement Fee is non-refundable.

PPC® Reinstatement Fee: Following failure to renew the PPC® designation, payment of the PPC®Reinstatement Fee is required to initiate the reinstatement process. The PPC® Reinstatement Fee is distinct from the PPC® Dues, and must be paid prior to completing the remaining requirements for reinstatement.

The PPC® Reinstatement Fee is non-refundable.
