During the past several months, our team focused on enhancing the client and designee experience during the past few months. You will notice several updates and upgrades to the application process, CE and renewal experience, and the Designee Search.
New Features in User Profile
For the Designee Search enhancements, we wanted to give our designees new ways to connect with us and each other. To accomplish this, we added the profile picture upload feature, gender and preferred pronouns (both with options to prefer not to say) dropdown menus, and types of plans/clients served dropdown into the profile. None of these fields are required, though.
New Slide Out for Designee Details in Designee Search
We added those features from the user profile to the Designee Search modal to enhance our Designee search experience for our customers, the public, and media.
Also new in the Designee Search, there is now a “Contact Designee” feature for clients, prospects, other designees, and members of the media to connect with designees. A person clicks on the “Contact Designee” button and a slide out pops up to fill in your information and message to the designee. Once a person clicks “send” an email is sent directly to the designee.
New Continuing Education Enhancements
We made several changes regarding CE and the way in which it is displayed for both our designees. We changed the default sort on the CE pages so now the most recently completed course is listed on top in descending order. We also added Acceptable Topics as a drop-down menu into all CE tables including the CE page, self-submitting CE, and the CE Catalog. This will help our designees keep in line with our CE requirements and policies.
Application Attachments
To assist with the application process, our team added an upload feature for attachments within the application. Applicants can utilize this feature to upload proof of education (a degree), proof of employment history (a resume), proof of professional credential/license (certificate or letter of good standing), or for documentation regarding a potential Conduct Standards violation. Utilizing this feature will allow our Professional Development Team to process applications more quickly and accurately.
Enterprise Dues Payments (Sponsored)
To make the process more seamless for our designees whose organizations pay their dues on their behalf, we removed the need for you to submit an Enterprise Code for your dues payments. Instead, your organization will send our team a list and we will internally mark your annual dues as “Sponsored” by your organization.
When it is time for you to renew, you will complete your CE and application as normal. Instead of paying your dues with the Enterprise Code you had been given in the past, you will need to Acknowledge your dues payment. Once you have done so, your organization will receive an invoice to be paid on an annual basis.
In addition to these updates, our team made several updates to our team's experience in order for us to better assist you, to make the process more seamless for you and us, and to keep all of us in line with accreditation standards.
