Overview
This article outlines the renewal process for Fi360 Designations, which remain active for one year from the award date, requiring completion of Continuing Education (CE), adherence to the Code of Ethics and Conduct Standards, and submission of the application and dues. Designees are reminded of their renewal via multiple communications beginning two months before the renewal date, with a one-month grace period if they miss the deadline. Recertification requirements vary by designation, with specific CE hours needed, part of which must be from Fi360 or approved providers, and varying dues for AIF®, AIFA®, and PPC® Designations.

Award and Renewal Dates
An Fi360 Designation is active for one (1) year from the award date provided all established conduct and ethical standards are met and continuously upheld. Establishment of the award date is based on the month in which the application is processed and approved. The official award date is the first day of the month following approval.
The following table provides several examples:
| Approval Date | Award Date | Renewal Date |
| February 7, 2025 | March 1, 2025 | March 1, 2026 |
| June 29, 2025 | July 1, 2025 | July 1, 2026 |
| November 10, 2025 | December 1, 2025 | December 1, 2026 |
Fi360 Designations renew on an annual basis and there are 3 main requirements to renew the Fi360 Designations: CE, Code of Ethics and Conduct Standards, and the application/dues. Designees will begin receiving reminder communications two (2) months prior to their renewal date and will receive multiple reminders throughout the renewal window leading up to their renewal date using multiple mediums including email, direct mail letters, and phone calls from our team. As an example, a designee with a March 1st renewal date will begin receiving notifications on January 1st.

Designation Grace Period
Should the designee fail to renew their designation prior to the renewal date (March 1st to continue the example), we will grant each designee a one-month grace period as a courtesy to renew their designation with no penalty (in our example, the designee would have through March 31st to complete their renewal with no penalty). Please note, our platform is on East Coast time zone and designees' courtesy grace period will last until 11:59 p.m. ET on the last day of the month regardless of if that month has 28, 29, 30, or 31 days.
Continuing Education Accrual Information
Designees can earn CE during most of the year. Broadridge Fi360 provides a variety of methods and opportunities for each designee to earn the CE required to renew their designation (for examples, please see Accruing/Reporting Continuing Education (CE) Credits). There are a couple of exceptions, though. Some of our designees wait to renew their designations until after their renewal date and take advantage of the courtesy grace period. During this time, they earn CE toward their current renewal cycle. However, for those designees that renew prior to the renewal date/grace period, they may not earn or accrue CE toward their next renewal until the grace period closes. In keeping with our example of a March 1 renewal date, CE cannot be accrued for the next renewal until April 1st regardless of when the designee renews.
Here is an easy to follow chart of CE accrual periods:
| Award Date | Renewal Date | CE Accrual Period |
| January 1, 2025 | January 1, 2026 | February 1, 2025 through January 31, 2026 |
| February 1, 2025 | February 1, 2026 | March 1, 2025 through February 28, 2026 |
| March 1, 2025 | March 1, 2026 | April 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026 |
| April 1, 2025 | April 1, 2026 | May 1, 2025 through April 30, 2026 |
| May 1, 2025 | May 1, 2026 | June 1, 2025 through May 31, 2026 |
| June 1, 2025 | June 1, 2026 | July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026 |
| July 1, 2025 | July 1, 2026 | August 1, 2025 through July 31, 2026 |
| August 1, 2025 | August 1, 2026 | September 1, 2025 through August 31, 2026 |
| September 1, 2025 | September 1, 2026 | October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2026 |
| October 1, 2025 | October 1, 2026 | November 1, 2025 through October 31, 2026 |
| November 1, 2025 | November 1, 2026 | December 1, 2025 through November 30, 2026 |
| December 1, 2025 | December 1, 2026 | January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026 |
For new designees who are approaching their first renewal, they may begin accruing CE once their award date has passed (ex: if their award date is March 1, the designee may begin to accrue CE on March 2).
