Overview
This article details the application process for attaining or retaining the AIF®, AIFA®, or PPC® Designations, to ensure compliance with designation prerequisites. It also covers the Conduct Standards, requiring disclosure of any past legal or regulatory issues, and Code of Ethics, which mandates affirmation of ethical conduct. Completing the application and other necessary renewal steps are crucial for maintaining the designations.
In order to attain and retain the AIF®, AIFA®, or PPC® Designation, completion of the Designation Application is required. Information in the first three (3) screens is saved from the previous submission. However, review of all information is strongly encouraged to be reviewed at the time of renewal to ensure accuracy. It is the responsibility of the designee to keep updated contact information on file so we may communicate about the designations.
Please note, the first three (3) sections in this application are to make sure you meet our Designation Prerequisites.
Section One (Screen 1) – Background Info
This section allows for input of contact information, as well as any financial services-related credentials held. Please note, if you hold a Securities License, please input that in the 'Credentials Held' section.
Section Two (Screen 2) – Education
This optional section allows for input of the highest post-secondary degree attained. If you did not complete a college degree, please leave this empty and continue to the next screen.
Section Three (Screen 3) – Work History
This section allows for input of work experience accrued in the financial services, or related, industry. Please only input relevant work experience, meaning that which is accrued in a non-clerical role within the financial services (or related) industry. Ensure you input enough relevant work experience to meet the prerequisites of the designation.
Screen 4 – Conduct Standards
This section allows for responses to questions related to past criminal and civil litigation, regulatory events, and personal and professional conduct. Any affirmative responses will be reviewed by the Fi360 Designee Team and may preclude an individual from attaining/retaining the AIF®, AIFA®, and/or PPC® Designations. For questions, see our Conduct Standards Policy.
Screen 5 – Code of Ethics
This section allows for attestation to the tenets of ethical conduct required to attain and retain the AIF®, AIFA®, and/or PPC® Designations, and must be read and affirmed annually. For official policy, see Code of Ethics.
Finish the application and complete the rest of the renewal/reinstatement steps (unless already done so).
