Overview
This article introduces the Professional Plan Consultant® (PPC®) Designation Training course.
The PPC® designation training course teaches advisors a framework for managing a successful and compliant 401(k) plan. Students who successfully complete the training and exam are eligible to apply for the PPC® designation, demonstrating to clients and prospects their knowledge of ERISA requirements for employer-sponsored retirement plans and ability to carry out plan services.
The course is appropriate both for advisors who are looking to build their retirement plan advisory business, as well as established retirement advisors seeking to streamline their practices.
Those who complete the training and meet the prerequisites are eligible to take the PPC® Exam.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of the training, participants will be able to:
- Identify the six service issues that face plan sponsors and fiduciaries.
- Identify shortfalls in a plan’s service model and ways to close the gap.
- Understand the regulatory bodies that govern the management of employer-sponsored plans.
- Identify and access industry resources to help plan sponsors.
- Apply the knowledge learned to implement a prudent process.
Training Delivery and Options
There is only one format currently available:
- Online: Our Self-Paced Online course is available on demand to be completed within 180 days of purchase. The exam is administered online in coordination with a proctor. Fi360 has partnered with ProctorU to offer remote proctoring to AIF® Designation candidates. (approximately three hours to complete)
