Investment Screener
Users of the Fiduciary Focus Toolkit can now apply a custom score to screened funds before adding them to a client account. This feature will be used when a watchlist trigger has been published and contains more than one data point, for a weighted score, required or flexible score, or a combination of multiple required/flexible scores.
In the investment screener, once search results are loaded, clicking the apply trigger button will prompt user to select any existing trigger in the workspace, inherited or local.
Once the trigger is applied, the trigger results tab will load with the results. In the trigger results tab, the columns displayed for each fund will include the current watchlist action for the fund (pass/watch/remove), the current score, 12 previous scores, and detailed breakdown of each data point used in the custom score. Each data point is color-coded—green indicates that the threshold is passed, and red indicates a failure to pass.
Depending on the number of data points and number of funds (maximum of 1,000), the process of applying a trigger to generate a custom score could take several seconds to several minutes.
If the number of results is too large, the number of investments can be filtered down by total score, total score historical trend, or watchlist action. One or multiple filters can be applied to filter the results and reduce to a manageable number.
Note: Navigating away from the screener to another page will require user to re-apply trigger.
Find Similar Funds
When using the find similar funds feature to identify a replacement fund, the custom score applied via investment policy in the client account, is automatically applied to the similar funds search results. Find similar funds can be applied from three places; the client account, the investments tab, and when clicking into an investment from the investments tab.
After clicking find similar funds, results are matched based on peer group, fund type, investment universe, investment list (if applicable). Then the trigger is applied to those results and only investments that pass the trigger are displayed.
Note: Navigating away from the screener to another page will require user to find similar funds again.
If only one data point is assigned to the watchlist trigger, user will be brought to the screener results tab.
