Q: Can I hold both the AIF® Designation and AIFA® Designation?
A: Yes. Earning and maintaining the AIF® Designation is a prerequisite to earning the AIFA® Designation. An AIFA® Designee should keep both of their designations active.
CE can be earned for both designations simultaneously, provided it was accrued in the current reporting period.
Dues will be paid for the AIF® Designation and credited for the AIFA® Designation for those holding both designations.
Q: How long does it take for the designation application to be processed?
A: Typical processing time for the application is five (5) business days.
If selected for an audit, please allow approximately ten (10) business days. If a potential Conduct Standards or Code of Ethics violation exists, please allow approximately thirty (30) calendar days.
Individuals will be notified via email once the application has been processed.
