The latest Fiduciary Focus Toolkit enhancements allow for you to incorporate your firm's custom branding into PDFs you produce. Custom cover pages and header images make a great first impression with new and existing clients. Read on for examples of how you can add a bit of WOW to your reports.
Another enhancement, watch and remove rules, allow you to incorporate historical trends in your triggers. Perhaps you want to put a fund on watch only if it fails your trigger the past 2 quarters, that and other automation scenarios are now possible saving you time during your recurring investment monitoring process.
Custom Branding In PDF Reports
Visit the settings area to create a report theme! The report theme has a custom cover page editor where you can upload a background image of your choosing. Images, text, and system fields can be overlaid giving you full control of your cover page design. System fields update dynamically so you can insert where a date or client name should go, for example.
Also within the report theme is the ability to upload an image to appear in your header or footer. This makes it easy to show your logo on every page in place of the Broadridge logo. Landscapes, cityscapes, color blocks or other image designs that span the entire header or footer also add professionalism and credibility to the reports you deliver. Visit our library of images for properly formatted examples that you can download/upload into your theme or use as inspiration for designing your firm's own custom branded report.
Colors can be applied to common areas on most sections such as headers, section titles, tables and footers. This allows you to match the contents of every page with your firm's color pallet brand guidelines.
Upload a PDF to include alongside standard report content. Custom sections now support PDF uploads. This gives you the flexibility to create your own "About Us" firm/staff overview, Market Commentary, Legislative Updates, etc and upload them into the Toolkit for inclusion in a PDF report. Once upload and saved, PDF custom sections can be added into a report template at the beginning or end of the report.
Historical automation in Triggers
Watch and remove rules can now be set to save you from having to manually review historical quarter-end trends in how your investments may be passing or failing your watch list criteria.
Any new Watch List Trigger you create in Settings will allows you to set the quarters to evaluate, how many of those quarters the investment must pass before being flagged, and the rules you want automation applied to for setting the "Action" of "Watch" or "Remove". In the past, all triggers only looked at the current quarter and evaluated criteria against it(Must Pass 1 of 1 QTRs for Watch). That is still in effect for all previously created triggers however any new triggers you create could look like this, for example:
Watch Rule "ON" - Must Pass 2 of 4 QTRs for the investment to not be flagged as "Watch" action.
Remove Rule "ON" - Must Pass 5 of 8 QTRs for the investment to not be flagged as "Remove" action.
Note: When both watch and remove rules are ON and failing, remove rules override watch rules and an action of "Remove" will be set.
These Watch and Remove rules evaluate status of the overall trigger each quarter. If you choose to you these rules to to look at the history, you'll also want to turn on new column in your client account investments page called "Historical Evaluation" so you can see an overview of how many quarters the investment passed out of the total you chose to evaluate.
Snapshot Report Section add to Proposal Reports
The snapshot report section brings commonly used data points for investment returns and expense to you and your clients in an easy to compare format. The Fi360 Fiduciary Score can optionally be turned on for this section to include Score, performance and expense.
The standardized performance disclosure report section was also made available in proposal reports to aid with investment performance disclosure requirements.
