Overview: This article explains how to find funds to propose as replacements of investments currently on watch or in a remove status. The Find Similar Fund(s) tool is an extension of the Investment Screener feature that starts with a search that has already been filtered to match the failing fund based on peer group, fund type, investment universe, investment list (if applicable). Should an Investment Policy be in place with existing evaluation criteria, the criteria will be applied proactively to show only funds that pass.
The Find Similar Fund(s) feature is available via the Holdings screen. Click on the three dots to the right of the fund you would like to replace, then select Find Similar Fund(s).

After clicking find similar funds, results are matched based on peer group, fund type, investment universe, investment list (if applicable). Then your evaluation criteria is applied to those results and only investments that pass are displayed.
To narrow down your results, or filter the funds down to a more manageable list, click on 'Edit Search' in the upper right-hand corner.

This will take you to the default data point screen. Any data point visible on this screen will be available for review on the results page. If you wish to add or remove data points, click the 'Change Data Points' button in the top right corner.
If you wish to add or remove data points, click the 'Change Data Points' button in the top right corner. Put a check mark in the box next to the data points you wish to add and click 'Make Selection.'
Toggle the buttons within each data point 'tile' from red to green - for the applicable data points you wish to filter with. Click and drag the slider bar (in the applicable tiles) along the green line to manipulate requirements - or enter the desired digits into the text-field boxes. 'Red' data points will be visible on the results page.
Within any data point/filter that has a long list of items, such as the Investment Lists or Fund Family, you can filter the items by typing part of their name into the open search field instead of having to scroll through the entire list.
If you already know what investments you would like to research you can copy and paste a set of ticker symbols into the 'Search by Ticker(s) box. Please note, you can additionally screen these pasted tickers by adding and/or utilizing other filters per the previous step (2b).
Once you are satisfied with the amount of results, click the 'View Results' button.
From here, you can do several things:
- Simply review/sort the data - Any data point can be placed into ascending or descending order by clicking the header at the top of the screen.
- Generate an Investment Research Report - This can be done by clicking the 'Generate Report' button, then select the data period and report template that you wish to use, and finally click Generate Report.
- Add proposed funds into the fund lineup - This can be done by selecting a funds using the checkbox to the left of the fund name and clicking 'Add to Client Account'.

You will get a green confirmation message banner confirming it has been added. You can then return to your fund lineup using 'Return to Client Holdings' option on the top left.

The option(s) will then show in the holdings as proposed and be mapped to the fund they are meant to replace. This is represented by the arrows next to the name of the fund.
